Horsham Investigating 11 'Suspicious' Fires

Horsham officials are seeking information on a number of fires believed to have been set

Horsham police and fire officials are looking into the cause of 11 fires all deemed to be "suspicious."

Since September 2010, fires–which all started after dark–have broken out in the general vicinity bordered by County Line, Blair Mill, Horsham and Meetinghouse roads, according to police.

Another commonality with all the fires include that they all started in dumpsters, sheds, or other easily accessible storage units. With the exception of the August 2012 fire that spread to the Montessori Children's House and adjacent Horsham Bible Church, fires have been contained in the area where they broke out.

The suspicious blazes include two at Keith Valley Middle School and several others at single family residences. No injuries have been sustained to date, but police said the fires have causes "significant" property damages.

The Horsham Township Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, along with the Office of the Fire Marshal are investigating the fires.

Anyone with information on any of the fires is asked to call the Horsham Township Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 215-643-8284 or Fire Marshal George Fida at 215-643-3131
