Horsham Township Comes In First Place For Most Improved Newsletter From Municipal Group
The ranking came from the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors Citizen Communication Contest. Horsham took a top prize.

HORSHAM, PA — This eastern Montgomery County municipality is being recognized by a statewide association representing localities.
Horsham officials announced this week that the township has come in first place in the category of Most Improved Newsletter in the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors Citizen Communication Contest.
The annual contest honors different townships across the commonwealth for their achievements in communicating with residents through various forms of media.

"Communication and transparency are of utmost importance to us here in Horsham Township," officials said in a statement. "We are incredibly proud to be continually recognized by PSATS for our efforts to keep the community informed."
According to PSATS, 31 awards in eight different categories were given out to townships from across Pennsylvania.

Winners were to receive a framed certificate for their accolades, and they would also be receiving a mention in the Township News publication put out by PSATS.
Townships that were eligible to participate in the contest were those who publish print or electronic newsletters and other types of publications that are used as a method by which to communicate with members of the community, and also those who operate websites or utilize social media or develop audiovisual content for cable TV or online channels, to facilitate communication.
PSATS says it has been running the Citizen Communication Contest for the past 54 years.
