WalkWorks, which is a collaboration between the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, expanded into the Hatboro community back in 2019.

At that time, Hatboro Borough Manager Diane Hegele was quoted as saying that the community was excited to be joining the program, which "encourages our constituents to take steps toward a healthier lifestyle."

Hatboro was one of the first communities in Montgomery County to have a designated WalkWorks route.

The Hatboro Healthy Hike Walk along Hatboro's WalkWorks route will take place Jan. 22 beginning at 11 a.m.

Attendees are asked to meet at Borough Hall, (414 South York Road), at the start of the program.
