Lochel's Bakery Responds To Attacks About Trump
The Hatboro bakery has been blasted on social media over its selling Pride cookies and President Trump cakes.

HATBORO, PA — Lochel's Bakery has responded to social media attacks regarding its baked goods involving LGBTQ and President Donald Trump.
Lochel's Bakery said people are posting on social media to ban, not support, trash, and shame the business and give false reviews because of Fourth of July Trump cakes and Pride cookies.
The bakery said it received over 100 orders for the Trump cakes and all of its Pride cookies sold out.

"Do not fall for this childish, ridiculous behavior," the bakery said this week in a Facebook post. "It is truly impossible as a business to please all, but we do serve all. We will continue to make great cakes for all, whether it is an LGBTQ wedding cake, or a Presidential cake of whomever, right down to a bachelorette cake."
The bakery was bashed on social media for some time ever since it launched its cookies during the presidential campaign between Trump and President Joseph Biden.

"Thank goodness, in this great country, we can make these cakes, that no one tells us what we can or can not make," the bakery said. "We are a small business in a small town, where we all work extremely hard."
In 2020, the bakery was one of the few bakeries in the region that was open for miles during the pandemic serving customers.
The bakery also took a shot at the borough's government.
"Is that ok that we have council people in our small town who don't support us because of selling Trump items, yet say that they support small business?" the bakery said. "No, none of this is ok. It's hypocritical."
The bakery concluded its Facebook post with this statement:
"To those slamming us, keep it up, it only gives us more attention, and believe me, those Trump supporters do support us even more when it happens," the bakery said. "To those who try to ban us, think to yourself, do you want us to be more successful? This is what happens, so thanks. And to those writing the sickest comments, we do screenshot them and if anything happens, we know first who to tell police to look at. Stop the nonsense. It's so poor of you and shows nothing but hate. Doesn't hate have no home here? Or is that just ok for some?"
