For The Month Of June, Hatboro Is Spotlighting Its Little League Complex Supervisor

The Borough of Hatboro is spotlighting one of its dedicated community volunteers during the month of June.

HATBORO, PA — Each month, the borough spotlights a different community volunteer, employee or resident who helps to make Hatboro a good place to live, work and play, and for June that recognition goes to Chris Mapes, a lifelong resident who currently serves as the Hatboro Little League Complex Supervisor.

The Borough of Hatboro spotlighted Mapes in a social media post that was put up Monday on the borough's Facebook page.

The spotlight says that Mapes began his volunteerism with the Hatboro Little League back in 2010 as a grounds crew member, and that since that time he has served in various capacities including as league coordinator, vice president of baseball and president, before he moved over to his current role.

Mapes also coached little league teams for more than a decade.

"Chris, who grew up in Hatboro and played for Hatboro Little League during his childhood, views volunteering as a way to give back to his community and he hopes the children of the Little League organization continue to make lifelong memories playing baseball just like he did as a kid!" the borough states in its Facebook post.
