Montgomery County Woman Credits Red Cross Blood Donations With Saving Her Life

Stacey Morris of Limerick says blood donations from American Red Cross helped to save her life. She's thanking the organization publicly.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A local woman is thanking the American Red Cross with helping to save her life, saying that blood donations provided by the organization helped to replenish the blood she lost through aplastic anemia, a disorder in which her body kills off any new blood she makes.

Stacey Morris, of Limerick Township, has required a monthly blood transfusion for the past year-and-a-half, which she has undergone at a donation center in Horsham Township. She recently told her story to 6 ABC Action News.
