HATBORO, PA — A fundraiser that was started less than a week ago by the wife of a seriously injured Hatboro police officer has already raised just under $75,000.

Whitney Allen started the GoFundMe five days ago to raise money to help her build a space in the family's Doylestown, Bucks County home that would be conducive to her husband's recovery after he is discharged from doctor care.

Hatboro K9 Officer Ryan Allen was critically injured this past fall after going into cardiac arrest following a freak bee sting allergic reaction.

Whitney Allen says she started the GoFundMe to help the family's financial situation; she wants to construct a private space within the family home that will be designed to handle her husband's medical care needs upon his eventual return home.

Ryan Allen has been in a non-responsive state and he is currently completely dependent upon others for his daily needs.
