HORSHAM, PA — Fire investigators in Horsham Township are looking into what may have caused a residential blaze at an apartment complex Wednesday afternoon, an incident that caused no injuries, but led to the displacement of some residents.

Horsham emergency response personnel said that township firefighters along with mutual aid partners were called to the scene of a blaze at the Blair Mill Village apartment homes around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday after a building fire was reported.

Arriving police and fire units worked to put out the blaze and search for anyone who may have still been inside the building at the time the fire broke out, according to fire officials.

Horsham officials said that rumors about a medical helicopter at the scene were unfounded, and what residents thought was a medivac was actually a news chopper.

"We would like to take this moment to thank all those who responded to help on this call," Horsham ChATs stated on its Facebook page. "Your quick work saved the building without question."

Thanks were also given to the Bux-Mont Para Transit Company for providing transportation services at the scene.

"Please know how much your efforts were appreciated," Horsham ChATs posted.

Photos of the scene were provided by Horshamn ChATs, which stands for Horsham Chief's Advisory Teams.
