"Due to weather delays, the parking lot will not be paved before Saturday," officials said. "The weather forecast is not looking good for Saturday either, so we are going to pivot and plan something new for the 2025 season."

The Little League is shifting to an "HLL Community Day."

"We will incorporate our traditional opening day ceremony plans, like the parade of teams, but will be looking to add some extra events," officials said.

Volunteers interested in helping plan the event should reach out to horshamllpres@gmail.com.

While the ceremony has been scrapped, Saturday's slate of games are not at this moment.

Little League officials said they would monitor the threatening skies to see if the forecasted rain materializes before canceling games.

An announcement will be made Friday night or early Saturday morning to confirm whether the games will be played.
