HATBORO, PA — PECO is conducting utility work throughout the borough that is expected to last until late October, borough officials said.

Borough officials said the project is a $1 million infrastructure investment to help withstand more frequent and damaging storms, improve reliability by reducing the frequency of outages that cannot be prevented, and support the adoption of cleaner energy resources such as solar and electric vehicles.

PECO will be upgrading and installing new, innovative equipment, including new poles and tree-resistant aerial wires, and advanced devices will be installed that can stop the flow of electricity if a problem occurs and automatically restore electricity where possible.
