Police Dog Training Scheduled In Montco, Bucks

The training will be happening in the Horsham, Upper Moreland and Doylestown areas.

HATBORO, PA —What might look like some intense police activity around the Bucks-Montgomery county line this weekend will actually be police dogs in training.

Keystone K9s Search and Rescue is hosting a K9 unit training seminar Friday through Sunday.

According to the Horsham-based nonprofit, teams from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania will be in the area training to find lost and missing persons. The training will be happening in the Horsham, Upper Moreland and Doylestown areas.

"Please don’t be alarmed if you see us throughout the area this weekend as we are only training," the group said in a note shared with local media.

The volunteer group works with police dog teams to help them hone their life-saving skills.
