Twice-Per-Week Trash Service To Resume In Hatboro

The service had been scaled back when the borough was in the yellow and red phases of the coronavirus plan.

HATBORO, PA — Twice-per-week trash collection in Hatboro will resume next week, borough officials say.

The decision was announced during the meeting of Hatboro Borough Council on Monday. The routine will start on Monday, July 27.

Residents who are not sure of their collection days may look at the map at the bottom of this post. Residents are reminded to place trash, recycling and yard waste out for collection before 6:30 a.m. on their collection days.

Borough council members said that, if Hatboro ever is moved back into the yellow or red phase of Pennsylvania's coronavirus plan, the borough will have to consider scaling back to once-a-week pickup again.

"We want to thank all residents for their patience and understanding thus far as the borough continues to adapt to regulations to keep residents and employees safe during the pandemic," borough officials said in a social media post.

On Tuesday, the borough posted a survey asking residents to share their thoughts on trash, recycling and yard waste collection in Hatboro. The survey will help officials improve those services, the borough said in a post.
