Major PECO Project To Last A Year In Middletown Twp.
Officials said the PECO project will improve electric infrastructure in Middletown Township.
MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — PECO is planning a $190,000 electric infrastructure project in the township starting next month.
PECO said the project will strengthen the local electric system, improve reliability, and help protect against more frequent and severe storms. The project will also support the growing use of cleaner energy sources like solar power and electric vehicles.
Officials said the work will take place on Brownsville Road, Butterworth Lane, Colonial Drive, and Old Lincoln Highway.

The project is expected to start on Feb. 16 and last until April 17.

- Installation of new underground conduit and electrical cable
- Possible installation or replacement of pad-mount transformers
- Temporary restoration of any impacted yards or streets
- Work completed by PECO crews and qualified contractors
There may be some brief, temporary outages necessary during the project. PECO will notify residents in advance when possible.
