Best Dog Contest To Be Held At Royersford's Trails On Tap
As Trails on Tap returns for another several days to Royersford, there will be something special for the pups.
ROYERSFORD, PA β There will be something special for the pups this time around at Trails on Tap, as the traveling beer garden returns to Royersford for a second week.
Organizers announced on Tuesday that a new "Best Dog" contest would debut this coming weekend at the event, featuring two categories: Cutest Dog, and Best Trick Dog.
The contest will take place on the final day the beer garden is in town, Sunday, July 28, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

All humans who enter their dogs will receive a free beer for their entry. A first place prize is yet to be determined, but will be announced soon.
The categories will be judged by local State Rep. Joe Ciresi.

Trails on Tap will return Wednesday, July 24. Hours are 5 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday, 1 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
A portion of proceeds raised from the event support the health of the Schuylkill River, the Schuylkill River Trail, and the supporting nonprofit organization, Schuylkill River Greenways.

Trails on Tap, which has also visited Valley Forge and Pottstown, will close out the summer with a July 31 through Aug. 4 run at Norristown's Riverfront Park.
