Limerick Man, 90, WWII Vet, Local Business Owner, Passes Away
Limerick's Thomas Lewis, 90, served in the Navy during World War II and Korea and was a stockbroker for 50 years.

LIMERICK, PA β Thomas C. Lewis, husband of Nancy (Loescher) Lewis, of Limerick, PA, formerly of Berwyn, PA passed away peacefully in January. He was born in Philadelphia and was the son of the late H.H. Barton and Mary Gray (Stork) Lewis. He is predeceased by his brother, Barton Lewis and sister, Mary Gray Stevenson.
Tom was a graduate of the University of Virginia and proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He enjoyed a career as a stockbroker for over 50 years and was honored to be a long time director for his family business, Barton Mines Corporation. He loved sailing on the Chesapeake, restoring antique cars and boats, and was a founder and member of several antique automobile and boating clubs.

Anyone who knew Tom understood his love for his wife and family and appreciated his ever present charm and humor. He was an accomplished speaker whose quick wit made him a sought after contributor to roasts. An avid reader and collector of jokes, one of his greatest joys was making people laugh.
In addition to his beloved wife, Nancy, Tom is survived by five children: Margie, Sandy, Tom, Drew and Tracey, seven grandchildren, and his brother, Ky Lewis.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Covenant House, 461 Eighth Avenue, New York, NY 10001, or to the Royersford Free Public Library, 200 S. 4th Avenue, Royersford, PA 19468. Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Royersford, Pennsylvania.
