Collegeville Homeowner Injured after Deck Collapse
Lower Providence Police report that the homeowner sustained injuries to their left ankle and arm after their deck collapsed on Sept. 9.

According to Lower Providence Police chief Francis Carroll, a residential deck structure collapsed on the 60 block of Overlook Circle in Collegeville on Sept. 9.
The incident occurred approximately 2:35 p.m. when the 51-year-old homeowner stepped onto the deck after opening the deck's sliding glass door. According to Carroll, the homeowner sustained injuries on the left ankle and arm, and added that the injuries were not reported as severe.
Lower Providence Volunteer Fire Fighters and township paramedics were at the scene, although it is not confirmed if the homeowner was taken to a hospital for the injuries.

Lower Providence Township Code Enforcement is currently investigating the deck collapse.
No other persons were reported injured in the collapse.
