Fire Crews Extinguish Blaze On Vehicle That Rolled During Crash

Lower Providence Fire Dept. said a car caught fire after it crashed and rolled on Route 422 early Tuesday morning. Injuries were reported.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — Local fire officials said crews had to put out a vehicle blaze early Tuesday morning after a car crashed and rolled on an area highway.

The Lower Providence Fire Department said the accident occurred around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning along a portion of Route 422 in the township.

Fire officials posted video to Facebook showing crews knocking down a fire that had engulphed the vehicle that was involved in the accident.

At least one person was reportedly injured when the vehicle rolled over and caught fire, according to emergency responders.

The other passengers in the vehicle were treated at the scene by Lower Providence EMS-Medic 322.

The fire was emanating from the engine and passenger compartments of the vehicle, according to the fire department.

The video posted to social media shows firefighters working to extinguish the blaze.
