Philabundance Receives Grant from Restaurant Group
The $21,000 grant will benefit the Philabundance Community Kitchen.

Philabundance, a non-profit that helps food kitchens, food cupboards, senior centers and others in the Philadelphia area to fee about 65,000 people a week, has received a grant from 21 area Darden restaurants.
The $21,000 grant will support the Philabundance Community Kitchen, a 14-week program provides nearly 500 hours of culinary arts training and also offers exposure to guest chefs, catering opportunities and off-site internships.
"This grant is distinctive," says Lindsay Bues of Philabundance in a written release, "Because employees at the restaurant level specifically identified job training for low-income workers as a need in the Delaware Valley, and elected Philabundance to address the local issue.'
