CR Meeting, Sewer Bills Due Wednesday in Marple Newtown

  • Government: Newtown Township Board of Supervisors public hearing, regarding the Commercial Residential (C-R) district zoning, will be held at 7 p.m.
  • Bills: Marple Township sewer bills are due by July 31. The township's finance department will be open to receive payments from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. 
  • Noise: "Blasting" continues at the Muirwood Townhomes around the 200 block of S. Newtown Street Road.
  • Movie: Classic movie night at Marple Library
  • Food—PRC Farmers Market from 2-7 p.m. at Mostardi Nursery on West Chester Pike
  • Fun: Marian the Ventriloqist and Friends at 7 p.m. at Newtown Library. Check out this interactive funny show featuring Marian, her daughter Jenny and their cast of memorable puppet characters. Free, for all ages.
  • Traffic: Check on your commute on the PennDOT traffic cameras before you leave the house. But the traffic will likely be terrible—it's traffic.
  • Weather: The forecast calls for temperatures to reach the mid-80s with mostly sunny skies. Things are expected to cool down in the evening. 
  • History: Per the History Channel, on this day in 1975, Jimmy Hoffa disappeared.
