'Significant Amount Of Cash' Left In Delco Mailbox, Police Say
A woman found the cash in the mailbox at her home that happened to be a former psychiatrist's office, police said.
NETHER PROVIDENCE, PA — Police in Delaware County are investigating a curious incident in which a resident found a "significant amount of cash" in their mailbox.
According to Nether Providence Police, a resident on the 300 block of South Providence Road found the cash in their mailbox recently.
The money was dropped off just before 11 a.m. Saturday, by a man standing 5 feet 8 inches tall who appeared to be between 20 and 30 years old.

Police said the resident noticed balding, white man pacing in front of her house for an extended period. He eventually opened the mailbox and dropped an unknown item inside, the walked off in an unknown direction after leaving the money.
He was wearing a black puffer jacket when the cash was left.

Police said the property is a former a psychiatrist’s office.
When the resident checked the mailbox, she found the cash and immediately called the police. Police said she was not overly surprised given the property’s history, assuming the man was a former patient who was unaware the office moved.
Police are looking to find the person to return the money to them.
