Delco Veterans Memorial Association​ Hosting 6th Annual Holiday Drive Saturday​

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Delaware County residents are being asked to step up and support community members in need at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association's Sixth Annual Holiday Toys, Clothing, and Food Drive.

The drive is being held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial in Newtown Square. Item drop-offs will be done via drive-through format.

All items will be donated to local food banks through the Providence Animal Center, YMCA, Toys for Toys, and Goodwill.

Santa Claus will also be on hand to meet with community members.

The Delaware County Veterans Memorial is located at 4599 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square.

• Small appliances/stereos
• Dictionaries/Text Books/Encyclopedias
• Clothing, Accessories, and Jewelry
• Kitchen/Cookware/Decorative Items
• Furnishings
• Computers and all peripherals
• Records/CDs/Tapes/DVDs/Video Games
• Sporting Goods/Small Exercise Equipment
• Shoes
• Toys
• Unopened, nonperishable food
• Small Home Medical Equipment (walkers, canes, shower seats)

Items not accepted by Goodwill are:

• Televisions
• Pianos and Organs
• Mattresses/Box Springs
• Firearms/Fireworks/Ammunition
• Air Guns/Paintball Guns
• Paint and Flammable Materials
• Dangerous Materials
• Large Household Appliances
• Building Materials
• Car Seats
• Items recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
