Newtown Township Leaf Collection Update
The second round of collections will begin right after Thanksgiving.

Newtown Township is in its 4th week of collecting leaves. So far, things have run smoothly.

Leaf collection has taken place according to the schedule on the attached map, weather permitting. At this point Public Works has visited every street when they were scheduled to. The second round of collections will begin right after Thanksgiving.
We are aware that the warm weather has slowed the process of trees dropping their leaves, and that the first pass of leaf collection has been lighter than most years. This means that we expect a heavier second pass after Thanksgiving. You may occasionally see trucks going back through areas they already went through once - do not panic! We will still be back when scheduled after Thanksgiving. Due to the lighter volume of leaves collected in the first pass we are hitting some of the earliest streets again when we can. We will not be able to go to every area again, so plan to have your leaves ready for the 2nd official pickup by the following dates:

A few reminders, based on issues we have been having this year:
Once leaf collection season is completed, we will collect Christmas Trees from January 3, 2022 through January 14, 2022.
