None Hurt In 2-Alarm Marple House Fire Over Weekend

A massive fire tore through a home on the 100 block of Springton Mews Circle in Marple Township over the weekend, officials said.

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA β€” A massive house fire broke out in Marple Township over the weekend, and no one was reported hurt.

The fire started at about 7:40 p.m. Saturday at a two-story home on the 100 block of Springton Mews Circle, the Broomall Fire Company said.

When firefighters showed up, they found fire showing from the rear and extending into the roof and attic area of the home.

First responders began working to put the fire out, but the blaze was upgraded to two alarms due to the rear of the home collapsing.

Crews were able to get the fire under control and remained on scene for about three-and-a-half hours for an overhaul of the building and extinguishing any hotspots.

No injuries were reported, and the fire is under investigation.
