Peach Festival, Yard Sale Among Weekend Events [Get Out]
It's a busy week and weekend in and around Marple Newtown Patch. See what's going on.

There are lots of things happening this weekend. It's a weekend full of community events. What better way to celebrate summer then by picking some sweet peaches and taking a swim after a 5K. If that's not your summer style, how about a kid-friendly play or a yard sale?

- When: Saturday, August 3
- Where: Linvilla Orchards, 137 W. Knowlton Road, Media
- Why Go: Take a hayride and then pick your own peaches and fill a box with as many as you can carry. Enjoy a family fun day with live music and lots to eat.

- When: Sunday, August 4 at 9 a.m.
- Where: Riddlewood Swim Club, 56 War Trophy Lane, Media
- Why Go: Join this 3rd Annual 5K race and 1.5-mile walk that starts and ends at the pool. After the race, jump in the pool and enjoy the pool after-party to benefit the swim club.
- When: July 30-31, at 6 p.m.
- Where: Rose Tree Elementary/Chief Hampton Field
- Why Go: Register and pick up equipment for Rose Tree Colts Football and cheerleading.

- When: August 7, 8, 9 at 10:30 a.m. and Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Upper Darby Performing Arts Center
- Why Go: A 70-minute story of friendship tells the tales from the beloved books of a Year with Frog and Toad. The story is part vaudeville and part make-believe for ages 4 and up. Enjoy pre-show activities and stay after the show to meet cast members. Free babysitting available for those too young to enjoy the show quietly.
- When: Saturday, Aug. 3 at 8 a.m.
- Where: 417 Lynbrooke Road in Springfield
- Why Go: VFind hidden treasures on clothing, toys, small furniture, jewelry, kitchen accessories and even puppy accessories.
- When: Friday, August 2 at 1 p.m.
- Where: Mansion Parlor Room (Media Municipal Center) 301 N. Jackson St. in Media
- Why Go: The 45-minute presentation for all ages will give an introduction to safe caving including personal photos and movies taken in caves from a member of the National Speleological Society. Special caving gear will be discussed and shown, too.
