Recycling Collections Delayed In Newtown This Week

Whitetail Disposal needs to delay residential recycling collections by one day this week. Collections in zone #2 will now take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025 beginning at 7:00am.

While the winter weather on Tuesday is not anticipated to be severe here in Newtown Square, Whitetail is based further north in Pennsylvania where the forecasted conditions are expected to be dangerous. Therefore, they made the difficult decision to close their offices and hauling operations and push all collections back by one day.

In their message to all accounts, they wrote:

"...we have decided to close our offices and push our entire route system tomorrow and operate on a winter weather one day delay for the remainder of the week. Tuesday service will be completed on Wednesday. Wednesday service will be completed on Thursday. Thursday service will be completed on Friday, and Friday service will be completed on Saturday. While this decision was not easy to make, and I know inconvenient, we do feel strongly that it is the right call bearing in mind the safety of all our customers, employees and the general motoring public. We will make sure to update all our web pages and phone systems so that residents are aware as well. Thank you for your understanding. "
