2 Delco Residents Die From Coronavirus
Two Delaware County residents have died from the coronavirus, officials announced Wednesday.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Two Delaware County residents have died from the new coronavirus, officials announced Wednesday. The two deaths are the first in the county from COVID-19.
An 85-year-old man who was hospitalized for the virus has died. Officials are not releasing the municipality in which the man lived, out of privacy for the family.

The second COVID-19 related death was an 86-year-old woman who was in a Montgomery County hospital at the time of her death. She had been a resident of the Rosewood Garden Rehab and Nursing Center in Broomall.
"Delaware County Council extends its deepest condolences to their families. As we as a community combat this pandemic together, this loss affects all of us and we are deeply saddened by the news," a statement from the county said.

Further, the Delaware County Council said it continues to urge residents to follow Governor Wolf’s Stay at Home Order to help prevent the spread of the virus.
The order took effect on Monday and will continue through April 6. Resident are allowed leave their residence only to perform allowable individual activities and allowable essential travel. Further details on what you can and cannot do under the order can be found here.
