Bank Account Accessed, Checks Cashed, Police Say
The victim was defrauded of about $2,150, police say.

Two local residents were recently defrauded, according to State Police.

On May 18, a victim reported to police that her bank account was fraudulently accessed, according to the report. The persons attempted to cash multiple checks valued at $2,150, according to the report.
The checks were cashed in the state of Georgia, according to the report.

In a separate incident, on April 29, a victim sold a black iPhone 5 on eBay to someone from Azerbaijan Republic however the phone was returned because the buyer did not like the color and the money was refunded back to the victim's account, according to the report.
But when the victim received the box, he discovered that a fake iPhone 4 was returned to him, not his item, according to the report.
