Multiple Retail Thefts from Sears, JC Penney

Clothing, accessories and electronics were stolen in the multiple retail thefts, police say.

Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks are investigating several retail thefts at Sears and JC Penney in the Granite Run Mall recently. 

On Oct. 6 at about noon, two white women in their 30s, removed items from Sears without paying for them, according to State Police. 

On Oct. 3 at about 8:11 p.m., a 17-year-old woman, stole clothing and accessories, valued at $76, from JC Penney, according to State Police. 

On Oct. 3 at about 8:11 p.m., a Chester woman struck a Sear's Loss Prevention Officer and ran away following a retail theft, according to State Police. The woman was arrested, processed and is awaiting arraignment, according to State Police.

On Oct. 3 at about 5:35 p.m., a 28-year-old Trainer man removed two cell phone chargers from Sears' Electronic Department without paying for the items, according to police. The man was arrested, processed and released, according to State Police.

On Sept. 28 at about 2:09 p.m., a 35-year-old Chester man stole multiple clothing items from both Sears and JC Penney and left the stores without paying, according to State Police. The man was arrested in the parking lot and charged with retail theft, according to State Police. 

On Sept. 23 at about 5:16 p.m., a black man and black woman, both from Philadelphia, concealed items on their person and left Sears without paying for the items, according to State Police. They were stopped by Sears Loss Prevention, according to State Police, and charges will be filed in District Court 32-2-48.
