Penncrest High School Ranked 28th Best High School in State

Penncrest High School in Media has been named the 28th best public high school in the state of Pennsylvania by Niche.com.

Niche.com is dedicated to evaluating U.S. and Puerto Rican schools based on parent and student reviews. The site reported that parent/student surveys gave Penncrest High School an A+ overall Niche grade.

The school received two A+ rankings in administration and policies and teachers. Its lowest grade was two B minus rankings in sports and fitness and student culture and diversity, according to Niche.com.

The website uses a very detailed set of methods to rank the top 100 schools in Pennsylvania. The site collected opinions from thousands of Pennsylvania students and parents.

According to Niche.com, a high overall ranking includes the following criteria:

• Students are very happy with their experience in all aspects including academics, teachers, health, safety, resources, facilities, extracurriculars, sports, and fitness;
• District schools are exceptional academic institutions in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes;
• District schools are made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture;
• Students are actively involved in a variety of extracurriculars and sports the district offers.
