Sanders said an investigation into Wilson's escape is now underway that will see any moments where security measures were overlooked.

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said Wilson will face charges for his escape.

Court records show Wilson was charged in 2023 with fleeing police, receiving stolen property, and more crimes. He was scheduled for a trial Tuesday on these charges, according to court documents.

Sanders said Wilson's apprehension was a joint effort between his office, the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Delaware County Park Police, Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division, Media Police, Upper Providence Police, and more law enforcement partners.
