Time Capsule Found at Riddle Hospital

A 1963 time capsule was recently found by construction crews working on a building expansion at Riddle Memorial Hospital.

A copper box was found inside the hospital's hollowed out limestone cornerstone and inside the box were historical documents from when the hospital was founded, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

According to the Delco Daily Times, some of the items found inside the capsule include:

• Last will and testament of Samuel Riddle, who gave the land and money to construct the hospital
• "Riddlegrams," which were newsletters printed to help fundraise to build the hospital
• An article called, "The Saga of Sam Riddle," written by former Daily Times writer Arden Skidmore
