2 Bodies Pulled From Creek Near Montour Run Trail: Police

Allegheny County police said 911 dispatchers were called after a body was discovered in Montour Run Creek​ on Friday.

MOON TOWNSHIP, PA — Allegheny County police are investigating after two bodies were found floating in Montour Run Creek on Friday.

Shortly after 4 p.m., 911 dispatchers were notified that a body was found in the creek near the Montour Run trail. When first responders arrived, they found a deceased man floating in approximately 6 feet of water.

Divers were called to the scene to retrieve the body, police said. While divers were in the water, they discovered the body of a second man in approximately 10 feet of water.

A preliminary investigation showed no sign of foul play, police said.

The bodies were taken to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of death.
