MOON TOWNSHIP, PA — Less than a month after two travelers attempted to take inert grenades through a Pittsburgh International Airport checkpoint, Transportation Security Administration officers seized two more grenades Tuesday morning.

The TSA "removed these two grenades from a checked bag this morning. Fortunately they were inert. Either way, live or inert, these can't fly!" TSA spokesman Lisa Farbstein stated in a social media post. "The traveler said his friend told him that he could take them on a plane. With friends like that . . ."

TSA officers last month confiscated two grenades at airport security checkpoints. One was inert, the other was a smoke grenade.
