Loaded Gun Found In Backpack At Pittsburgh International Airport
A Florida woman is facing charges after Transportation Security Administration officials discovered a gun in her backpack at the airport.
FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, PA — A Florida woman had a loaded revolver in a backpack at Pittsburgh International Airport Sunday, Allegheny County police said.
Transportation Security Administration officers spotted the gun shortly before 7 p.m. at the main security checkpoint. The unidentified woman, 22, did not have a concealed carry permit, police said.
Police said firearms-related charges are being filed against the woman and the FBI has been notified about the incident.

Passengers who bring firearms into an airport checkpoint can face federal civil fines from the Transportation Security Administration up to $10,000. Repeat offenders can be fined up to $13,910.
