Back to School: Council Rock 2021-22 School Calendar

NEWTOWN, PA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in the Newtown area, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Council Rock School District.

The first day of school for K-9 students at Council Rock is Monday, Aug. 30, while the first day for students in grades 10 through 12 is the following day.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point.

As of Wednesday, July 28, Council Rock has no plans to require masks in school, regardless of vaccination status.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

First Day: Monday, Aug. 30, for grades K-6, 7 and 9 only; Tuesday, Aug. 31, for grades 10-12

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26

Winter Break: Dec. 23-Jan.2

Spring Break: April 14-April 18

Last Day: June 10
