Services Set For Young Newtown Boys After Mother Charged In Killings
Loved ones can gather to honor Jeffrey and Nelson Tini, avid athletes who "will truly be missed by all who came to know them."
NEWTOWN, PA — A funeral date has been set for two Council Rock School District students who died Friday, their obituary announced.
The family of Jeffrey Tini, 13, and Nelson Tini, 9, will receive friends and relatives to mourn the brothers at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Newtown on Tuesday.
Jeffrey and Nelson's mother, Trinh Nguyen, faces attempted murder charges after the boys were found with gunshots to their heads in their beds last week.

When she was taken into custody later that day, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said officers found ammunition, packets of suspected heroin, "swabs of suspected blood," and a note that read "Please call 911! My children are dead in their bed at *** Timber Ridge Rd, 18940."
The boys are survived by their father, Edward Tini of Philadelphia.

"Jeffrey and Nelson were strong young men," the boys' obituary reads. "They were avid sports players, with a love for the game of baseball."
Jeffrey, a Newtown Middle School student, is remembered as an "awesome swimmer" with hundreds of medals who also had skills in mixed martial arts.
Nelson was "an amazing skier" with a "passion for sneakers" who attended Sol Feinstone Elementary School and mostly loved "just talking and playing with his friends."
"Both these boys were taken from us too soon and will truly be missed by all who came to know them," the obituary reads.
Relatives and friends can greet the family on Tuesday, May 17 from 1 p.m. until their Memorial Mass at 4 p.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church at 81 Swamp Rd. in Newtown.
Jeffrey and Nelson's interment will be held privately.
