Gas Leak Closes Second Street Pike In Newtown: Police
About a mile of road is closed between Swamp Road and Sackettsford Road due to a gas leak in the area, Newtown police said.

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — Second Street Pike is closed due to a gas leak, police said midday Wednesday.
The Newtown Township Police Department did not elaborate more on the leak, but said the road is closed for the entire stretch between Swamp Road and Sackettsford Road in Northampton.

"PECO has been notified and is responding," police said.
Police advised residents and drivers to avoid the area until further notice.
