NEWTOWN, PA — Get ready, get set — Newtown's community Easter Egg Hunt will kick off Saturday morning on the lawn of Goodnoe Elementary School.

Families can show up to the school beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday to meet the Easter Bunny and prepare for a morning of fun, organizer Paul Salvatore told Patch.

At 9:15 a.m. sharp, the hunt will begin.

Organizers have broken the field into eight sections, with each dedicated to a specific age group. The hunt will start with the youngest kids and go from there — in one section, kids 2 and under will vie for eggs. Then it's ages 3 to 4, ages 5 to 6, ages 7 to 9, ages 10 to 12, and ages 13 to 17.

Grandparents and parents will also have a chance to join the fun, with their own dedicated section to grab some eggs.

In each section, hunters should also look out for a special prize egg for a lucky winner to grab.

The Newtown Rotary Club is hosting the event, chaired by Salvatore and Judge Michael W. Petrucci. Goodnoe Elementary School is located at 298 Frost Ln in Newtown.
