This year, I’m most thankful for the incredible sense of community here in Newtown. Neighbors look out for one another, embrace new ideas, and genuinely care. I felt that support when I took the leap to open Baby Gear Group Bucks County a year ago (while juggling three kids under 11 and another job!). Local families encouraged me, spread the word, and trusted a brand-new small business, reminding me how special it is to live in a place that truly lifts each other up.

Why does this mean so much to you?

It reflects the kind of community we’re lucky to live in. Neighbors share homemade food, shovel sidewalks without being asked, drop off treats "just because," and keep an eye on each other’s kids playing outside. That support, along with the everyday kindness across Bucks County, has meant so much.

How has this made a difference in your 2025?

With the beautiful chaos of family life, 2025 had plenty of busy moments, but the kindness of our community made all the difference. It inspired me to pass that kindness on, continuing the cycle that makes Newtown such a special place to call home. One of the highlights was collecting baby and kid clothing and shoes and passing it along to Cradles to Crayons in Philly, which felt like another way to pay forward the support our family and community have shown us.

What do you wish others knew about what you’re thankful for?

I hope people know how powerful the small, everyday acts of kindness can be. Taking a moment to chat with a neighbor, sharing a meal, donating items unused goods, or supporting a local business—it all adds up! These gestures create the warmth and connection that define our community. Newtown is full of people who show up for one another, and I’m grateful every day to be surrounded by that kind of goodness.
