Newtown Restaurant Wins Prestigious Wine Spectator's Award Of Excellence
Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards represent the world's only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine service.

NEWTOWN, PA — Capital Grille, Newtown, has been recognized with Wine Spectator's prestigious 2025 Restaurant Award of Excellence for its exceptional California and French wine program.
Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards represent the world’s only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine programs. Awards are assigned on three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence, and the Grand Award (the most exclusive). This year's awards recognize more than 3,800 restaurants in all 50 U.S. states and more than 80 countries, Wine Spectator said.
Capital Grille won the Award of Excellence, which recognizes restaurants around the world whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. Capital Grille, Newtown, was singled out for its California and French wines.
