Swamp Road To Close For Gas Line Repairs In Newtown

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company is planning to close Swamp Road between Sawmill Lane and Liberty Drive in Newtown Township.

NEWTOWN, PA — Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company is planning to close Swamp Road between Sawmill Lane and Liberty Drive in Newtown Township in Bucks County beginning Tuesday, Aug. 10, for pipe repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Friday.

The closure will be in place 24-7 through Tuesday, Aug. 24.

During the closure, Swamp Road drivers will be directed to use Worthington Mill Road, Route 413 (Durham Road) and Route 532 (Newtown Bypass). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company, LLC will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
