Tree Lighting, Santa's Arrival On Friday At Washington Crossing

The public is invited to welcome the holiday season with hot chocolate, cookies, Santa and the park's official tree lighting.

WASHINGTON CROSSING, PA — The public is invited to kick off the holiday season at the annual Tree Lighting at Washington Crossing Historic Park on Friday, Nov. 28.

The event, organized by the Kiwanis Club of Washington Crossing-Yardley, will begin with hot chocolate and cookies at 3 p.m. followed by Santa's big arrival aboard a fire truck at 3:30 p.m. and the tree lighting at 4:30 p.m.

The event also marks the kick-off of this year's "Betsy's Basket" food drive organized by the Upper Makefield Fire Company.

The firefighters and the Kiwanians are asking that everyone attending the event bring non-perishable food items for the food drive.
