UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Bucks County artist Keith Mountford will be showcasing his works at the Taylorsville General Store in Washington Crossing Historic Park from now through March 22.

The store will be featuring and selling Mountford's artwork with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Friends of Washington Crossing Park. Mountford will also be in residence at the store Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday, March 22.

Originally from Staffordshire, England, Mountford relocated to the United States in 1993 and rediscovered a long-dormant creative passion inspired by his new surroundings. Known for his distinctive style of “watercolor realism,” he creates finely detailed landscapes and architectural scenes that capture mood, atmosphere, and a deep sense of place.

Through careful layering and a restrained color palette, his work brings out the quiet beauty of historic and natural settings, many of them here in Bucks County.

During the pandemic, Mountford reconnected with the landscapes close to home, including Washington Crossing Historic Park, which became the subject of one of his most meaningful works.

Inspired by bike rides along the Delaware Canal and towpath, he devoted months to painting the Hibbs House garden, a piece he later donated to the Friends of Washington Crossing Park to help raise awareness of preservation efforts.
