Police: Cause of Accident that Killed West View Chief's Son May Never Be Known

Jeffrey Fromlak, 26 of McCandless, died Sunday night when his vehicle overturned on Route 19 in McCandless.

McCandless police continue to investigate the Sunday night rollover accident that killed the son of West View Police Chief and Borough Manager Bruce Fromlak. 

Jeffrey Fromlak, 26, was driving south on route 19 just past the split with McKnight Road when he lost control and his car rolled over into a grassy median. Fromlak, of McCandless, died at the scene. He was alone in the car.

"We may never know what happened," said McCandless Police Chief Gary Anderson. "It was a one car accident and the driver didn't survive."

The Allegheny County medical examiner is conducting an autopsy, but those results are not yet complete.
