These Three Places Are Cool Right Now

Where to take your family to beat the heat in the North Allegheny area.

With a heat index in the mid-to-upper 90s, it's smart to take your family to a cool place.

Here are three local spots to beat the heat:

1. North Park Pool:
The pool is open from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The daily admission rate is $5 for adults; $3 for senior citizens; $4 for teens ages 13-17; $3 for kids ages 6-12; and $1 kids ages 0-5.

2. Northland Public Library:
Dozens activities are planned at the air-conditioned library. Bring your kids to Crafty Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m., and check out the Health Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, July 22.

3. Wildwood Highlands in Hampton:
Play some cool laser tag, let your children explore the Kiddie City Indoor Playground or have a water war. Click here for pricing.
