Police Make DUI, Drug Arrests In Northampton Township
Police also investigated a retail theft on Bustleton Pike and a criminal mischief incident in the Holland section of the township.

RICHBORO, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Dec. 29 and Jan. 4:
December 29
- Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the 800 block of Sackettsford Road for the report of a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling eastbound on Sackettsford Road when it left the roadway. Unit 1 then went onto a berm and struck a tree. Tow was required.
- Retail Theft - Patrol responded to a business in the 800 block of Bustleton Pike for the report of a retail theft. The business reported that an individual left the business with items that they failed to pay for. The case is under investigation.

- Fires - Patrol responded to a home on Brianna Road for the report of a fire. Once on location, the police spoke with the homeowner, who reported that their gas stove had been sparking. The Northampton Township Fire Department arrived on location and the power supply to the stove was cut off.
December 31
- Criminal Mischief - Patrol responded to a home in the Holland section of the township for the report of criminal mischief. The caller reports an unknown person kicked their front door causing damage. The

- Traffic Stop (DUI Arrest) - Patrol initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation in the area of Newtown-Richboro Road and Rock Way. Through investigation, the driver was taken into custody for suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
January 2
- Traffic Accident (Property Damage) - Patrol responded to the area of Boxwood Drive for the report of a traffic accident. Unit 1 (trash truck) was working in the area when it knocked down wires. Wires were removed from the street and Verizon was contacted.
- Traffic Stop (Drug Arrest) - Patrol responded to the area of Bunker Way and Spring Mill Drive for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Once in the area, patrol observed the vehicle in question driving through the area and a traffic stop was initiated for a motor vehicle violation. Through investigation, the driver was taken into custody for drug-related offenses.
January 3
- Found Dog - Patrol responded to the area of Marie Drive for the report of a dog found. Once on location, contact was made with the caller who had found the dog. Patrol checked and the dog owner was located. The dog was reunited.
January 4
- Traffic Stop (DUI Arrest) - Patrol observed a vehicle disregard a red traffic signal at the intersection of 2nd Street Pike and Bustleton Pike. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver. Through investigation, the driver was taken into custody for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
