Ash Wednesday: Find Your Church Service in Ross and West View

For those commemorating Ash Wednesday, North Hills Patch has compiled a list of churches located in or near North Allegheny communities that are observing the day with services or other events:

• St. Athanasius Church, 2 Wentworth Avenue, West View: Mass and Imposition of Ashes at 7 a.m., 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Imposition of Ashes only at 4 p.m. 
• Christ Episcopal Church, 5910 Babcock Blvd.: Holy Eucharist and Imposition of Ashes at 7 a.m., noon and 7:30 p.m.
• North Hills United Presbyterian Church, 100 Bellevue Avenue: Service at 7:30 p.m., preceded by a covered-dish dinner at 6 p.m.
• St. Sebastian Church, 311 Siebert Road: Mass and Imposition of Ashes at 6:45 a.m., 9 a.m., noon and 7 p.m. Imposition of Ashes only at 4 p.m.
• St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 920 Perry Highway: Mass and Imposition of Ashes at 7 a.m., 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
• St. Teresa of Avila, 1000 Avila Court: Mass and Imposition of Ashes at 7 a.m., 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Prayer Service and Imposition of Ashes at noon and5 p.m.
• West View United Methodist Church, 146 Cornell Avenue: Prayer service and Imposition of Ashes at 7 p.m.
• Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church, 517 Sangree Road. Prayer Service and Imposition of ashes: 7 a.m.; Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes: 7 p.m.
