Carol A. McGowan

Carol A. McGowan, 53, of North Side, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012.

Born July 24, 1958, in Pittsburgh, she is the daughter of the late Julius and Helen (Manko) Halas and was married to the late Hugh J. McGowan.

She was the mother of Abbie (Ronald) Lipscomb; sister of Joe Halas, Shirley (Tom) Rochford, Denny (Mary Beth) Halas, Deb (Pat) O'Keefe and the late Jean Bambach; godmother of Kristin O'Keefe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and beloved pets Maggie and the late Haley.

Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the , 388 Center Ave. Blessing services will be at noon Friday in the chapel of St. Mary Cemetery, Mount Troy.
