North Hills Indians Defeat Kiski, 9-5

The Indians have two victories in the past three games. Senior goaltender Nick Reslink turned aside 24 of the 29 shots he faced in one of his strongest performances of the year.

Things are finally clicking for the North Hills Varsity hockey team after a 9-5 victory over the Kiski Area Hockey Association Monday night.

The Indians have two victories in their past three games. With freshman Brett Berner and sophomore Tyler Heisel scoring hat tricks, the Indians produced their greatest point output of the season. If that wasn’t enough senior captain Michael Punzak had a 4-point game (2 goals, 2 assists), and junior Jake Lydon had 5 assists. Berner scored 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) amd Heisel 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist).

The North Hills Varsity team hopes to keep the momentum going at 9:15 p.m. Thursday against the defending state champion Bishop Canevin Crusaders at the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center.

Senior Night will be at 7:15 p.m. Monday at RMU Island Sports Center in a rematch against Kiski.
