North Hills Student Earns Scholarship to Study Video-Gaming
Tenth-grader Andrew Duerig has been studying Flash Game Design with Reuben Clark, a North Hills technology education teacher.

A student has been selected to receive the Zulama Online Video Game Academy Scholarship from Waterfront Learning.
Tenth-grader Andrew Duerig will complete the video game course during the upcoming second semester.
The scholarship enables Andrew to complete Zulama's "Games Through the Ages" course from January through June, attend a Game Design Studio Boot Camp hosted by staff at the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University (ETC), and participate in the Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference (TRETC) in November 2012.

Waterfront Learning, through a grant from the Benedum Foundation, offers multiple scholarships to regional ninth and 10th grade students for study in the area of video game design and development.
